Important Update on Critical Office of Congressional Ethics (We won!)
It looks like the outpouring of rage from the American public against the proposal to gut the independent Office of Congressional Ethics has made a difference. The Republicans reversed themselves and decided to drop their plans. (More here.)
This result makes clear that sometimes the force of public opinion and what is right makes a difference. Thank you to all who raised their voices on this critical issue.
This is just the first of many battles. We most certainly have our work cut out for us this year, and I don’t plan on standing down.
