Join me this weekend for a virtual town hall on police brutality

June 5, 2020

Over the course of the last week, our community and communities across the country have felt outrage and anger at the tragic killing of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers. This has shed an intense light on the injustices faced by Black people every day in this country, and the systems in place designed to continue that oppression.

I’ve spent the week consulting with Black leaders in the community in the hopes of finding solutions to correct these harmful systems. I had illuminating conversation with two close friends of mine, State Senator Lew Frederick and Urban League of Portland CEO Nkenge Harmon Johnson, and I thought you might be interested in hearing what they had to say as well.

To that end, join the three of us for a solutions-based discussion on police reform and correcting the harmful systems deeply embedded in the fabric of our country this Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 AM.

You can watch the town hall here:
