Thursday, August 3 @ 6:00 p.m. – Join Congressman Blumenauer for Public Forum on Infrastructure in East Portland and East Multnomah County

July 20, 2017

Dear Friends,

Even in Congress, infrastructure is one topic that unites many diverse voices. While it remains to be seen if this Congress can draft federal infrastructure legislation that would earn my support, I’m going to continue fighting to make sure that the federal government is a good partner with local communities when it comes to funding for much needed road maintenance, transit, and both walking and biking projects. In Salem, the Oregon legislature made progress during the recent legislative session to add state funding. As we consider future investments and priorities, let us remember that it is entirely within our capacity to make our communities safer, healthier, and more economically secure while we struggle with the challenges of this century for the economy, energy, social equity, and climate.

It is a priority for me to ensure that investments made at the federal, state, and local level help meet the needs of East Portland and East Multnomah County.

I hope you’ll join me for my Public Forum on transportation to talk about what is happening in Congress and in your community to improve transportation choices. Joining me will be Multnomah County Commissioner Jessica Vega Pederson and State Representative Janelle Bynum. There will also be representatives from TriMet, ODOT, and other community organizations.

Thursday, August 3, 6:00 - 7:15 p.m.

IRCO Community Center Gym, 10301 NE Glisan St. Portland, OR 97220

Please RSVP here to attend.

I hope to see you on August 3.

Thank you,
Earl Blumenauer
Member of Congress
