Congressman Earl Blumenauer Applauds Winners of Congressional App Challenge
Congressman Earl Blumenauer, senior member of Congress representing Oregon’s Third Congressional District, released a statement applauding the winners of the Congressional App Challenge. Every year, students in Congressional districts across the country are challenged to create and submit their original apps for a chance to win and be put on display in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. The mission of the Congressional App Challenge is to inspire, include and innovate efforts around STEM, coding and computer science education.
“Congratulations to Annika and Tristan, the Congressional App Challenge winners for Oregon’s Third District. The app is called ‘AbleMail’ and provides users who are less able to gain independence and improve their ability to use email platforms autonomously. This app changes lives and that is truly inspiring. The future is bright with young innovators like Annika and Tristan conquering our most difficult challenges.”
